I am aware of the fact that most of my blogs start with some sort of apology for lack of blogging and a vow to do better... but what can I say. I am an inconsistent blogger. There. I said it. Now you will check this blog with that understanding that most of the time there will not be a new post:)
Moving on. We have been sick, sick, sick. The boys have been, that is. Chris was really sick over Spring Break. Then Nate was sick the next 2 weeks and now Andy woke up this morning with a nasty cough and green runny nose. Please don't get rsv again. Please don't get rsv again.

Latest news:
Andy is full on crawling now. He has been for a few weeks. He LOVES IT! We all love it. Andy is so social that if I walked out of his eye sight he would cry. Now he just follows me or Nate or goes to find something to get in to. His favorites: cords, the blue power button on the desktop computer, knobs. He goes around the house searching for these things. The picture posted above is of And's beloved "tripod" maneuver where he uses 2 legs and one arm to balance himself and the free hand to get a toy. Now that he can sit up by himself, he doesn't do it.

One evening a few weeks ago Chris was giving Nate a bath and I was washing dinner dishes. Chris excitedly told me to get the camera where I saw this: Andy sitting up. Scared me, thinking he would lose his balance and smack his head on that hard floor. But he never did. I guess he waited to sit up by himself until he was completely confident in his balance.
We have not gone out and done anything as I don't want my kids to spread this nasty cold to anyone else. We have had a few visitors though, and are grateful for their bravery so we could have a fun break!

Hallie O'Brien and Nate are 3 days apart
She has been a great friend over the last 2 1/2 years.
Nate loves her mom Heather as much as Hallie!

Kallie Stoddard, daughter of one of Nate's (and my) best friend Kim.
Kallie is a little younger than Nate and he is soooo protective of her. It's kind of annoying... I mean cute... when we are in public with her, he is always making sure she doesn't walk too far away from us or touch anything he thinks is not safe for her. Thanks for coming to play guys!

[Fireman boots only come off at bedtime and typically worn on the wrong foot]
Finally, in closing, Chris just got a call a little more than a week ago letting him know his start date is now not until January 2010 due to the current economic climate. We are still graduating and moving to Milwaukee in May as planned. He is still working for their pro bono clinic and taking the bar this summer. We will then have 5 months to hang out and get to know Milwaukee and enjoy having Chris around! I freaked out at first, but after Chris told me they are advancing his salary I am starting to think this is a blessing in disguise. I will definitely enjoy having Chris around as I adjust to the move and get to know Milwaukee.
